In the recently concluded 22nd Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) Provincial Elimination held on November 8, 2013 at Lyceum of Subic Bay, Mondriaan Aura College received a plaque of recognition for being the champion school after beating five other colleges in the province of Zambales.

The PSQ, an annual contest designed to test freshman college students’ knowledge of statistics, involves students enrolled in colleges and universities in the country. The National Statistics Office (NSO) and the Philippine Statistical Association (PSA) have conducted the PSQ since 1992.

Adrian P. Darum, an Associate in Aircraft Maintenance Technology student, after earning a total of 17 points in the three contest rounds, hailed as Champion. Carl Joseph S. Tauro, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology student, ranked 4th place. Team Aura is also represented by Robby E. Dimalanta, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology student, and Engr. Jonjon M. Rayala as coach.

Both Darum and Tauro will represent the College and the province in the 22nd PSQ Regional Championship which will be held on November 14, 2013 at Central Luzon State University, Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.

Sixteen students from Columban College, Inc., Gordon College, Lyceum of Subic Bay, Kolehiyo ng Subic, Mondriaan Aura College, and Northern Zambales College, Inc, participated in the contest.
